Fire Sticks Challenge 2020

What The first annual Fire Sticks Challenge is a team-based drum battle where participants are judged on style, skill, coordination, and performance. Each team must consist of (1) bass drum and (1) snare drum player. Why To help promote and support the “arts” aspect of S.T.E.A.M. through friendly competition. This competition will help showcase young talent and encourage their continued dedication to music. When January 18th, 230pm Where Curtis Hixon Park Open to This competition is open to the public. Entry Teams must register for (1) of the (4) available competition slots. Teams that are not selected for the primary slots will be considered an alternate team that is ready to compete in the event of a forfeiture. Judges (3) Celebrity judges Prize $300 Cash + Prizes Rules Teams must check-in between 2 pm and 215pm. Teams that do not check-in prior will forfeit their slot and be replaced by a stand-by team. Teams must perform for 1 minute to allow judges to rate their style, skill, coordination, and performance. The two teams with the highest rating will move on to the face to face battle round where they will each get to perform twice before being judged. The winning team will be considered the Fire Sticks Champions.
